My Story

I lead every session personally.

Hi, I'm Ms. Simone — certified tutor and founder of Excel Academics. I started this business because I saw a gap: families needed more than a generic tutoring session. They needed someone who would take the time to understand how their child actually thinks, where they get stuck, and what motivates them.

My background combines formal teaching experience with hands-on work as a Registered Behavior Technician. That combination is intentional — it means I don't just know the subject matter, I know how to reach students who learn differently. For kids with ADHD, ASD, IEPs, or 504 plans, that difference matters enormously.

Who I work with

My primary focus is elementary and middle school students in math, reading, and writing. I specialize in supporting homeschool families and students with learning and behavior profiles, aligning sessions to existing IEP or therapy goals when applicable.

Why virtual works

All sessions are held live via Zoom — one-on-one, in real time. No commute, no waiting rooms. For homeschool families especially, virtual tutoring fits into your day instead of disrupting it.
